Patricia J. Annas, 79, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, entered eternal life on September 19, 2015, after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Pat was born on November 6, 1935, in Boston, Massachusetts.  As an adult she eventually settled in Holliston, Massachusetts, where she lived for over 25 years, had a family, built life-long friendships, and established herself in real estate and public housing.  Pat held a bachelor’s degree in biology from Emmanuel College and taught secondary education for over 10 years.  She then transitioned into real estate for 22 years and ultimately owned her own business.  She was later recruited into an executive director role in public housing, where she again excelled and continued to work for 20 years.  In recent years she retired and moved to Indianapolis to be closer to family.

Pat cherished time with family and friends. Favorite memories include frequent parties at the pool, shopping sprees in Chestnut Hill, debating national politics, taking a drive to the Cape in search of the season’s “best” lobster roll, and cheering for the Red Sox and Patriots.  Pat’s spirit is carried on by husband of 46 years, Frederick, daughter Tanya (husband William Hahn, children Elizabeth and Lily of Zionsville), sister Anne of Saratoga Springs, New York (husband James P. Morrissey), sister-in-law Maria Fleming of Ayer, Massachusetts, and numerous friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Gertrude (Johnson) Fleming, and younger brother, Thomas J. Fleming.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23rd, in the chapel at Holy Spirit of Geist in Fishers, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org) are welcome.

Pat was my very first hospice patient in my orientation and I admired her spirit and tenacity. She was always thinking positive and fought the most I have ever seen someone fight such a horrible disease. Her husband, Fred, was the best caregiver I could have imagined for a wife going through what she was going through. Despite short exhausting nights, he always had a smile on his face and showed patience for Pat through it all. I am sad I never was able to say goodbye to Pat but I hope I see her again in heaven. She will always remain in my heart. ❤️
